What we do

HTTPS/TLS on the live PWA. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, never plaintext.
Now Mode location is opt-in. Hide from Now Mode stops new GPS storage immediately.
If a security breach involves personal information, we notify affected people as required by law, including Hawaii HRS §487N for Hawaii residents, and we keep investigation records for at least five years.

If we notify you

A notice will say what happened, what data may have been involved, what we are doing, and what you can do (usually: review account activity and change a reused password). We will not ask you for your password by email.
